To work with Select Area Any Vertex

Step 1

First of all, choose Edit menu and select Selection followed by Select Area Any Vertex as shown by the image below.

Step 2

Select Area Any Vertex allows you to drag a marquee around an area to select objects that have at least one vertex within the selected area.
